We are pleased to confirm here in this view through the official website of the University on the main functions that the university focuses on and seeks to achieve, which are represented in the following:

University of Saba Region is a Yemeni public university located in Marib Governorate in the eastern of Yemen. On 27 Shawwal A.H. 1427 (18/11/2006), the Prime Minister issued Decree No. 249 stipulating the establishment of the Faculty of Education, Arts, and Science in Marib Governorate, a faculty affiliated with Sana'a University.
On 16 Safar 1438AH corresponding to 16/11/2016AD, Republican Decree No. (145) was issued to transform the faculty into a university with a legal personality that is financially and administratively independent as per the laws, regulations, and systems in force in the Republic of Yemen under the name of (University of Saba Region) which is affiliated to the Supreme Council of Universities.
With the issuance of the decision, the dream of the people of Marib to have an independent university that meets their aspirations was realized. It also formed a scientific incubator for the people of the governorate in particular and the rest of the governorates of the region in general. It even became a scientific complex for many Yemenis in general, who were cut off from access to other universities. It contributed significantly to solving the problem of IDPs, contributing to raising awareness in society, and helping to advance the educational process throughout the Republic.
Since the establishment decision, the University has begun to prepare its academic and administrative structure. Therefore, scientific councils have been formed starting from the University Council to the Councils of the Departments of the faculties. At the same time, the Vice-Rectorate of the University has been accredited with three deputies, the Secretariat-General, and nine general administrations to conduct the work of the University.
In the academic year 2021/2022, the number of university students reached (15,000) students distributed among the seven faculties of the university, which includes (32) scientific disciplines and a full-time academic staff (238) distributed on the rank of associate professor, assistant professor, teaching assistant, and demonstrator, while the number of employees at the university reached (190) regular staff.
Female students represent a large percentage of the university's students, constituting 36% of the total number of university students. The percentage of students from the governorate of Marib represents 36% of the total number of students.

It is worth mentioning that the university has a five-year strategic plan for 2020-2025 prepared according to the balanced scorecard (BSC) and contained 56 projects distributed over the four dimensions of the plan; education and growth, operations, customers, and the financial dimension.
The university leadership seeks to establish a university city consisting of 46 and 40 projects through its long-term strategic plans, which include scientific faculty buildings and facilities, scientific centers, conference hall, faculty and staff accommodation buildings, hostels, and various city facilities to represent a factor that may attract students not only from the different Yemeni provinces but also international students.
The university has a land area of 1,000,000 square meters and has started work on it with:
Study of soil as an introduction to the work of the site Master Plan.
The university aspires to have 13 faculties with a total capacity of 30,000 students

Saba University is a Yemeni public university that contributes to the preparation of qualified outputs through educational, research, training, and consultancy programs in modern and distinguished methods and means according to the standards of quality and academic accreditation through an academic and administrative staff qualified in the context of an educational environment that stimulates creativity and optimal employment of technology and effective local and external partnership and to be classified within universities distinguished locally and regionally.
